अगर त्याग हुआ होता तो, महाभारत के रामोपाख्यान में  इसका स्पष्ट उल्लेख होता, जो कि है ही नहीं ।

यह किसी धर्म विरोधी ने वाल्मीकि रामायण में त्याग वाला अंश जोड़ा है। 

बस उससे यह गलती हो गयी कि महाभारत में जोड़ न सका।

इसी कारण वह धूर्त पकड़ा गया ।

 *"यदिहास्ति तदन्यत्र यन्नेहास्ति न तत् क्वचित् ।"*  इस formulae से भी स्पष्ट है।

Had there been renunciation, it would have been clearly mentioned in the Ramopakhayan of Mahabharata, which is not there.

This anti-religionist has added a renunciation part in Valmiki Ramayana.
